Bishop Sutton is a small village with good local amenities. At its centre, there is a small local supermarket combined with a butchers and Post Office, hairdresser, 2 public houses and a garage. An easy 10 minute walk will take you to the edge of Chew Valley Lake, famous for being well-stocked for fishing and a local beauty spot.

Around the Northern perimeter of the lake there is a picnic area, a shop/cafe and a visitor centre.

There are numerous other villages in the locality, each with something unique to offer plus a magnificent choice of places to eat and drink. If you would like to leave your car at home, there are plenty of quiet roads on which to cycle (WWW.SUSTRANS.ORG) as well as footpaths if you enjoy nothing better than a walk through acres of unspoilt countryside. Walks and cycle rides to suit all levels.

Bishop Sutton is very well situated for the historic cities of Bath, Bristol and Wells, all being approximately 20 minutes drive.
Weston Super Mare is 20 miles away and we are within 1 hours drive from The Cotswolds and South Wales.
The Cheddar Gorge and Cheddar Village are only 20 minutes away by car, taking you through the Mendip hills. Ideal for walking and cycling.
